Food Drive for the Open Cupboard Food Pantry

We are excited to announce JR Lions Cheer will be participating in some community outreach programs this year with the help of one of our JR Lions Cheer Mom’s Dina Pinto.

All canned or non-perishable dry goods donations are welcome.  Collection box is located outside the Conley main office.

The first program – a Food Drive for the Open Cupboard Food Pantry will be taking place the entire month of September. The food pantry is in desperate need of items as donations dwindle over the summer months. We are asking for 100% participation from our JR Lion Cheer Family’s in our weekly donation boxes.

For more info please reach out to Dina Pinto at dinapinto04@gmail.com or call/text #908-510-1000.

app_logo

Box Tops for Education has introduced a new way to earn MORE BoxTops for the BTPTA!

The new Box Top app is a FREE and easy way to turn the products you buy everyday into cash for the school. Simply download the app, browse and select the current offers, and scan your receipt from ANY store!  Your offers will then automatically be credited to the school account.   The best part- those same products have box tops on the packaging, they count too!  Just clip and send in via backpack mail.

Last year the BTPTA earned more than $1600 from the BoxTop program-AMAZING!!!  This year our goal is $2000! We appreciate your help and support as we work towards our highest goal yet!

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Browse and select offers within the App; then purchase those participating products at any store.
  2. Upload your receipt using the App.
  3. We’ll confirm your purchase via e-mail and credit your school’s account for any offers you selected and qualified for.

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
Take the challenge!  Students and families were encouraged to read as many books as possible over the summer and strive to read the minimum number of books recommended for their grade level.  Please return all reading forms to your teacher by September 23, 2016.  Click here to go to the BTPTA website and print the reading log.  Just print as many copies that are needed to include all the books you have read.  During the school year, you will receive a reward from the PTA for your reading accomplishments.  The rewards vary.  In the past they have included free books at the book fair, movie tickets and bowling trips.  If you have any questions, contact Andrea Buerstetta at abuerstetta@comcast.net
